Strater 4.2....asking for license....

Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (484)	Hello.... When i am opening my Starter 4.2 i get a error Novaild license key is found.... I checked my Simatic Step7 Mangaer that opens without any error.... but suprisingly it asking for license in my case....Starter doesn't need any license !!!! any body have suggestion ......or do i unistall and install it back..... Now it works ok But the Starter not need license, then this is not be a problem related with Automation License Manager. Other software (Step 7) work correctly Sorry my poor english

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	Actually starter does have a license. From what was explained to me, it is required for export regulations. Siemens allows the download of Starter at no charge from the support site, but if your purchase a CD with Starter (nominal fee for CD and handling), it will come with a certificate of a license. In either case, the problem above is still a bug.
