Amit_86 Posts: 1750 Rating: (272)	Dear All, i have some doubt regarding force fuction in S7400H PLC(with Flash Memory) System. following are my doubts. 1)if CPUA is master and if i force some output through force table then force indication will appear on CPUA only or it will appear on CPUB also? 2)if it appears on CPUA only and incase of CPUA Switchover to CPUB as master what will happen to force? i mean to say whether i have to force output again or not? Thanks in advanced.

Yoga Shankar Posts: 288 Rating: (22)	The force function is CPU specific, intended only to be used during testing/debugging. It is not to be used for normal operations. In case a variable is "forced" on one CPU and then a change over happens, the other CPU will not recognise the "forced" state and will operate the variable in the normal state.

Yoga Shankar In case a variable is "forced" on one CPU and then a change over happens, the other CPU will not recognise the "forced" state and will operate the variable in the normal state. Are you sure?. If I have a good memory I remember that forcing affects both CPUs not a single CPU and if a change over happens the forced I/Os will still be forced. Best regards. H-H

H-H Dear H-H/Yogashankar, i just crosschecked force function in S7400H today and as said by H-H during Changover Forced I/O's stays forced.
