abrarfsd Posts: 38 Rating: (1)	Dear All We have a machine in which total sixteen servomotors are installed in system of D445 and CU320 units. The drives are Sinamics double motor module with SMC modules.We are using Simotion Scout 4.1 SP5 The 8 motors are of Parker and 8 motors are Lafert. Please guide me how can I replace Parker motor in place of Lafert motor.I can do all the connections but don't know which parameters in the drive should be changed. and how to tune new motor ? If any one have completer procedure for replacement of servomotors please share or any video of Simotion Scout or any copy parameters procedure from parker drive to Lafert drive. Thanks

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	I prefer the wizard as well as it automatically runs through equivalent circuit parameter calculation, but the other way to do the configuration is to use the compare function. One drive can be compared to another or it can be compared to default values. A compare result can be saved either as a parameter list or as an executable script. The script may need some additional manual intervention or editing when executed on a target drive as different parameters can be changed based on different setting of P10 "Drive Commissioning Parameter Setting". DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	I don't believe I completely understand all questions. "How can I change settings in the script?" A script contain parameter numbers and parameter values. You can open the script and edit associated parameter values to desired values. Once changes are made, you can save and execute the script in the offline project. Then download the project to the controller. "Does the script will update all the project?" The script will only update parameters entered in the script. In order to change settings for the right drive, the script needs to be copied in the SCRIPTS folder under that drive. Only settings for that drive listed in the script will be modified. There is an option to run the script globally: to specify which controller & drive to execute the parameter change in, but I would not worry about this feature at this point. "Will there other changes in the project?" I can't tell at this point. What is in the script you already have? If you only changing motor parameters, the impact should be limited. Make sure that reference speed p2000 and encoder is the same. Otherwise the Simotion axis technology object will need to be reconfigured as well.

DenisMor Posts: 344 Rating: (50)	"Scout" script is VB Script. It is possible to create a script that will automatically create an entire project. Whenever it is a good idea to do so, is a different question.
