Grim Reaper Bronze Member Joined: 6/5/2009 Last visit: 1/12/2026 Posts: 158 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, In a PCS 7 v7.1 SP1 project I introduced a function, FC64, where the input is of the type TIME and the output is DInt. The purpose is to calculate the totalised value per shift/ hour. But when this block is imported into a chart, the error, "Key not found " occurs. Only when the compilation is done multiple number of times this goes off and the charts are compiled. May I know the reason behind this and the solution for the same. Regards, Grim Reaper

Did you tryed to import in a different projet?... or, do same operation using a different ES ? Did you use a PCS7 blocks in your FC64 coming from a different PCS7 library version? provide as much as information to make us able to help you. regards

The Customer Support couldn't help me that time and I don't know the background. I solved it by making a copy of the projekt using "Save as...", deleting the S7-program folder, creating a new one, making all assignments in the hierarchy to the new folder, copying all content from the project-copy to the new folder. But be aware that then only a entire download to CPU is possible for one time. Also all POs would be lost if you don't perform a "Book back POs" before working like this. "Book back POs" is also going along with "Delete all" in the CPU. If you could accept the CPU-Stop and having the CPU down between "Book back" and performing the job, maybe this could help you. Greetings...

For now the issue does not seem to bother anyone as the plant is running smoothly and the customer is'nt interested in Step 7. FYI the FC that was mentioned did not have any siemens related blocks, nor did any part of the PCS 7 project have any blocks from PCS 7 library. Everything was customised. I can have a go at the method that you suggested byt using Save As, but in that case all the instant DB's related to the blocks are bound to change ...... So I assume that this would force us to re-do the whole project as all the structures in the OS are not formed through the Attribute "s7_m_c". So that really puts us back. Any ways thanks for the reply. regards, Grim Reaper.

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi well if you use your own function then be carefull to delete or modify the blocks that you have in the block folder. Does your compilation produce the error OB's please check that as some time the error OB are deleted by this error during compilation. If you still have the problem then create a new project, say a multiproject and copy the cfc to that project and compile. this may change the DB' no but you project shall be free of error. Check if you have the same error in diffrent PC using PCS7 AS/OS. Have fun...

Hi Grim Reaper, the "Save As" wil not assign new Instance-DBs. If the copying will do I'm not 100% sure but I also think not. The reason why you will be forced to a entire download is the fact that the timestamps related to the download-status are saved with the program-folder. It's the same with the POs. Regards, mark
