How to select the destination archive in the tag logging creating archive tags from the process object view

Smaug73 Advanced Member Joined: 8/10/2011 Last visit: 5/22/2025 Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hi I want to create a lot of archive tags in the tag logging of a WinCC v6.2 project using the "Archive Tags" Tab of the process object view in a PCS7 v7.0+SP1 project. I have two archive files and I don't find the way to select the file I want as destination of those tags. When I compile, the tags are created in the file I don't want to. In the "Archive Tags" Tab of the process object view the column "Archive name" cannot be modified. How can I do it? The other alternative is create them manually, but it's a lot of work. Thanks

But you cando this with the bulk engineering with the help ofthe WinCC Archive Tool (Smart Tools WinCC). Regards Thunderstorm

mkcs Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	If you add the archive tags manually or with a smart tool, you might considerNOT marking them for archiving in process object view. This will ensure you have full control of which archive is used. In the future, if the tag is un-marked for archiving, it will likely be removed from some archive file (but you cannot control which one). Especially important if you have the same tag in two archives with different archive characteristics.
