Toppie Posts: 74 Rating: (3)	Hello Habella Is it safe? Yes if you order to the right approval requirements. Is it the best choice? Low frequency radar, typically 6GHz, require larger antennas and this can detract from the volume in the vessel. High frequency radar, typically 26GHz, requires much less headroom and has smaller components. Which is right for you? I assume there will be foam and moisture at some time. Low frequency radar has the best chance at penetrating foam and has a higher resistance to condensation and antenna buildup. High frequenct radar has a better chance ofreflecting off the top of thick moist foam but can be attenuated by a thin layer of non dense foam. They are also more succesceptible to high condensation. I would say that in an application such as your with high condensation and some foam, the LR200 would be a very good choice. Use either the Rod antenna or the largest horn you can fit in your process connection but no smaller than a 6" horn. Regards Toppie [ \|:)

Note that 20" H2O pressure is less than 0.5 atm so you will not require a pressure rated version. This saves a few $$.
