NickH Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the replies guys, machine consists of two parts, both require S7-300's and Profibus is specified by our customer. Onthe main machine, which has to be the master,the I/O is on the rack, on thesecondary part of the machine the I/O is distributed around the machine via ET200S modules. We would normally have the I/O on the secondary machine part on the rack and data exchange between the two plc's using MPI. What would be the best Profibus configuration ? Two plc's linked via a DP/DP or the plc's and ET's all on the same network and use direct data exchange ? Not familar with DDE so a link would be appreciated. Thanks, Nick
