Simulation problem in Safety Matrix after upgrade to V6.1

IsaacSanchez Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I have a problem and I was wondering if you can give me a hint on what to try. I am using PCS7 V6.1 SP2 and upgraded Safety Matrix Engineering software from V5.2 to V6.1. I followed exactly the procedure that is written in the Siemens Configuration Manual, I transfered the matrices, reconnected some signals and enabled the EN_SWC signals, compiled, compared the two versions of the software, updated the block icons, did the global script updating and regenerated headers. Unfortunately I don´t have a cpu to test with so I am trying to test the system in the Engineering station using the plcsim V5.3 and managed to download the plc to the simulator and start the OS simulation for the OS server and I´m able to see the matrix with the causes and effects and if I simulate an IW from the plcsim I see it reflected on the Matrix but when I try to make a tag simulation from the OS I get an error that says "data error detected, transaction breakdown" and cancels the operation. Also I randomly I loose the connection between the plcsim and the OS simulation for a short period of time. So Mainly these are my two problems, so if any of you guys have an idea it is most welcomed. As additional information, I added the user rights for Iniciator and confirmer in the OS project and in the block icon properties. Thanks for your help.

If the PLCSIM communication breaks down, the connection / communication (SWC = secure write command) between the matrix viewer and the matrix breaks also. That could be the reason of the error message. Regards

Jazz_M Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi well your PLC sim is very old version, there were bugs in older version PLC SIM and some limitation too, I do not remeber simulating safety logic, but i Knew that you could not simulate for redudant system in V5.3 The error may be because of version used as "Thunderstorm " has posted, I would recommend to go for a upgrade of your current version of PCS7. Have fun...
