Understanding a struct [Value, ST]

TerminalBuzz Gold Member Joined: 11/4/2011 Last visit: 1/12/2026 Posts: 256 Rating: (53)	Hello. Every digital signal is shown as struct with Value (Bool) and ST (Byte). The last is Signal status - what is it? What information is there? When I form some output signal, what should I write to ST ? If my output depends on two inputs with their own ST, again what should I write to ST of that output signal ?

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	In APL the ST portion of the structure is used to convey the signal status (quality code). 16#80 - good; 16#60 - simulation, 16#FF - invalid etc. If you do not use ST transfer 16#80. See the following: PCS 7 Libraries APL Style Guide

Silent Bob Posts: 836 Rating: (100)	Hi, please pay attetion when you interconnect to these structs. Since some version it is possible to interconnect a bool value to the APL structs. But then, only the value is written, not the status. Have that in mind, when you make a connection.
