AS interface in pg not ready

My experience in S5 equels to big 0. I am using cable RS232 TTY converter, STEP5 V7.2. Settings in Step5: Interface: AS511 Parameter: COM1: Standart Path name: [ ] Path file: NONAMEAP.INI. Settings of COM port : 9600, 8, E, 2, None. Any hint is wellcome. Thank you in advance.

Double click there and look at C:\Step5\S5_SYS\AP_INI.... The other possible things are: You had to use com 1 with settings: 9600, 8, N, 1, N. ... More settings look at "System message no. 0334" when attempting to go online with STEP 5 V7.2 in Windows XP Hope this will helps. Best regards Hristo Mihalev

karolewsky Posts: 26 Rating: (0)	Hi all, Maybe someone would be facing the same problem. I got the same problem. I use the standard siemens AS511 cable and have the Siemens PG. I use the com1/tty and got the same error AS interface in pg not ready. I tried to change the bus path to AS511 mul, but only the error text has changed. What i did was: changed back the bus path(should be empty) opened the AS***.ini file in S5 system data. For the COM1(there i got that i use 2 stop bits and even parity in my communication frame) I changed the settings for COM1 in windows device manager on parity even and 2 stop bits. But also changed the fifo buffer in advanced to the lowest. Restarted my computer opened s5 again and established the connection with s5. Hope it will be helpfull to anyone. Greetings
