vebner Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Hello Please tell me how many modules SIWAREX FTA can be installed in ET200M station? The manual says "Max. Amount in system ET 200M - 7 SIWAREX FTA per station". Configurator for SIMATIC Selection Tools and STEP7 permits to install 12 SIWAREX FTA per station ET 200M. I can not verify it. What are the problems to install 12 modules? Thanks

Maschex Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hello, there are two important things: 1.) The maximum current, which is neededfrom the back-plane bus: one FTA needs 50mA. 2.) The SIWAREX functionblock uses SFCs/SFBs internally. The number of SFC/SFB-calls inside a PLC is limited (8 calls at the same time). Therefore you can use the special Command-Handling block, which you can find with help of the url above. This block handles the commands for more then 8 FTA connected to one PLC. Regards, Maschex

Siwarexi Gold Expert Joined: 1/4/2007 Last visit: 1/13/2026 Posts: 1198 Rating: (179)	Hello vebner, You can use 12 FTA modules, if your ET200M station can handle these12 FTA modules.The limit of “7 SIWAREX FTA per station" into the manual refers to the old ET200M stations.In the past only max. 7 modules are allowed into a ET200M station.
