Jim Perry Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hello all: I am working with an 840D control on a Spinner SB lathe. It was in storage for several years. It has an OP 031, MMC 100.2and 572.2 NCU. No PCU. I was getting the "waiting for communication" screen. Was able to start up by resetting the PLC. I am awaiting a new battery/fan module to arrive, then I will have to reload the parameters. What will be the procedue to reload the parameters? Do I need any special software to do it? The machine came with only 1 floppy disk. Would all the information be on one disk, or does it sound like I am missing disks? Thank you Jim P

Clear your NC and PLC on the NCU card i.e by the rotary switch /tf/WW/en/Posts/60254#top You can load your backups with RS232 with PCIN/WINPCIN software.... or with HMI advanced PC/PG that you need to install it on your PC/Laptop Regards, Prakash

Jefke Advanced Member Joined: 9/15/2009 Last visit: 1/14/2026 Posts: 25 Rating: (0)	It is not the most safe sollution, but change the batterie when the control is switched on (and drives switched off - emergency stop) (Normally, when the machine is switched off, and you pull out the old batterie, you have 10 minutes to change batterie without data-loss) (if your machine is still OK, first make backup!)
