SteveOn Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	6RA70 S/W v. 3.2, master/slave, coupled motor propulsion drives on anchor handling vessel. During vessel blackout test (complete loss of all systems), main prop drives are running 75%. After blackout recovery, drive goes to status 12.4 about 50% of the time due to B100 in status word low. Other propulsion drives have this issue sporadically as well. Cycling the power to the drive is the only way to reset this status that I have found. This is only referenced in the SIMOREG CM manual and refers to PCB A7041/42 defective or missing. Through the faults associated with this, I'm leaning toward an initialization/timing fluctuation or PCB checksum errors. I can find no other literature/forums/FAQs available that refer to this status. Is there possibly a timing/sequencing parameter that addresses this? Or could it be resolved with P082/UPS backup to electronics/auto restart timing parameters? ANY info would be appreciated

SteveOn drive goes to status 12.4 about 50% of the time due to B100 in status word low. Please explain in detail how state 12.4 depends of B100. If you have poor line supply for electronics, the you may try to use UPS and play with parameters P086, P089, P090. What you mean with P082? It is operating mode for field.

SteveOn Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Apologies for being unclear. B100, bit 1 of the status word, does not go high with this status. I meant to reference P086 (the autorestart), not P082. I am more interested in what is the cause of this status (why it is initiated). We have commissioned over 150 vessels, all with propulsion systems controlled by the Siemens 6RA70 DC-Master, and this has never come up.This is a new class of vessel, and 12.4 is present occasionally in multiple drives and vessels. I am trying to deduce "why now". What is the difference in the configurations?Why only in black ship recovery?Whatchanged in the design that was added, removed or reconfiguredandisinhibitingthe reinitialization of the drive? One possibility is that all setpoints, start/stop commands, and alarms are now through PROFIBUS. Possible something corrupt from the VMS interface. I wold just like some more details on how the PIB factors into the restart sequence (timing, signal I/O, voltage checks) so I can troubleshoot this further. Is there any more information or literature that references this drive status, orhas anyone else experienced a similar issue? When time allows, I will retest with different program elements and communicationdisabled to see if I can at least tell what it is not.
