Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello.... Hope your using MCPA board that comes back side of the PCU. Since the MCPA module does not have an encoder connection, it is only possible to use an encoder if it is available as a 2nd encoder of a SINAMICS axis. This 2nd encoder must be configured within SINAMICS in such a manner that it is contained in the message frame and is thus available to the controller. Regards, Prakash

Balu_M Posts: 69 Rating: (1)	I am using DMC 20 to connect X and Z axes scale and SPL encoder.The X and Z axes I have asign to 2nd encoder of SINAMICS drives using STARTER. Where I have asign SPL encoder, i have two servo drive only. Any body have solution , help me.... Regards, Balu

Dear balu: what you are asking it is possible in 802d sl new version 01.04.07.03 and above, if you want manual pleae open 802dsl tool box and go through 3rd sensor file

I think this can be done. 1) The third sensor is connected to DriveCLiQ 802D "X2". 2) Connect the drive to the third axis. 3) Run the auto-drives with HMI 802D. 4) To tell the system that the sensor is connected to the spindle "X2". 5) Disable the third drive of the system. 6) Disable the drive in 802D (CU). 7) Set the parameters for the spindle 30130 = 0 30240 = 1 I think it should work. DEAR BALU PLEASE FIND THE ATTACHMENT, i have commissined the 3 sensor using 2servo drives (single axis) with DMC HUB and i sent the back up please go through back up regards manugarani

I really connected to the third sensor is the third drive, and then cut off the third drive through the settings and see the value encoder when the drive is off. It worked a few years ago. Good luck to all. Try as I wrote, it should work. Excuse me again. N.B. I was a little extended. I had the task of an engine + 3 direct encoder (axis X, axis Y, axis Z). How can this be done in the 802D SL? All of this work, the code to connect an additional drive (2 axis). I then deactivated and the disabled, this third dual-axis drive. The encoder continued to work. Best regards.
