sh1363 Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	Hi, we have one machine that include of siemens 840D controler.this machine have two gantry axis for load and unload of part.in one of them after 4 or 5 monts axis is stop and get countor monitoring fault.by turning off and turning on the machine.fault is cancel and machine successfully work.would you please help me about reason of this probelem? Thanks alot

Linear signal distortions Linear signal distortions are caused by: • Speed and position controller not being set optimally • Different servo gain factors of the feed axes involved in creating the path With the same servo gain factor for two linear-interpolated axes, the actual position follows the set position along the same path but with a time delay. With different servo gain factors, a parallel offset arises between the set and actual path. • Unequal dynamic response of the feed drives Unequal drive dynamic responses lead to path deviations especially on contour changes. Circles are distorted into ellipses by unequal dynamic responses of the two feed drives. Nonlinear signal distortions Nonlinear signal distortions are caused by: • Activation of the current limitation within the machining area • Activation of the limitation of the set speed • Backlash within and/or outside the position control loop When traversing a circular path, contour errors occur primarily due to the reversal error and friction. During movement along straight lines, a contour error arises due to a reversal error outside the position control loop, e.g., due to a tilting milling spindle. This causes a parallel offset between the actual and the set contour. The shallower the gradient of the straight line, the larger the offset. • Nonlinear friction behavior of slide guides your maschine has running for a few months I think that you have a mechanical problem

sh1363 Posts: 23 Rating: (1)	hi, If the probelem is mechanic why by turning off and on the machine probelem is solved and axis successfully move? I think the probelem is electrical .I also change the card but probelem wasnt solved. thanks

For the above what you can do is remove the motor from the mechanics ...keep it out and try to run it in JOG in Forward and reverse..if there is no error fine.. Note: if it is absolute reference will go and reference is required. Then assemble motorand checkwith yourmechanics and see any error is there... Could you feed back Encoder cable / control card could be the problem. Check it... Regards, Prakash
