Have a look at this manual 6ES5998-0UB23, chapter 15. http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1091978 In Step7: If you have some HMI panel, there is no need for timer module. It was only neccessary if there was no other chance for adjusting time values without PG.
