I have an existing profibus network with a baudrate of 19.6kbps and I will extend this network. However I want to establish a network that is more efficient and more faster. I want to use CP343 and CP243 for communicating CPU300 and S7-200, but I have some questions to be answered.

• What is the maximum limit of communicating S7-200 stationwith one CP343 ethernet card?
• Approximately at which communication baudrates canbereached with one CP343 and more than 10 S7-200 stations? (If it is possible ofcourse...)
• And also, I need documentations about programming the S7-300 to get variables from S7-200over ethernet connection.
  
  PS : In the network, there will be a CPU300 with CP343 ethernet card, approx. 10S7-200 stations with CP243 modules and a PC that is communicating with S7-300 via OPC.

• The maximum Baudrate of Fast Ethernet is 100 MBit Full duplex. This depends on the Network structure you are about to use. The main issue here is also the environment.. but this has to be verified with more information’s at best on site.
  
• The Baudrate is not the issue in here, because this is set by Ethernet. The issue is the Amount of Data that can be transferred.
  
• The latest CP 343-1 (NOT Lean CP) supports up to 16 S7 Connections, the only type of connection supported by the CP 243-1. So you could use up to 15 S7-PLCs and one PC (with one connection each).
  
• The useable Functionblocks for S7 Communication are part of the System and Standardfunctions Manual for S7-300 / S7-400. Check for PUT and GET.
