S7-1200 SFB52

NeLz0n Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	Hi, i have a problem with the SFB 52. I would like to read some data from an ET 200S (IM 151-3, PM-E, 2 DO HF etc.) I can make the connection with an CPU 319, but there is some differences between the S7-300's and the s7-1200's SFB 52. Do you have some example program or something to help me? ( I have a problem with the INDEX parameter.) Thx a lot.

Regarding to index, you use the instruction to read the data record with the number INDEX from the component addressed using the ID. This may be a module in a central rack or a distributed component (PROFIBUS DP or PROFINET IO). The parameter INDEX by SFB 52 in TIA Portal has the data type Int (example variable MW, EW). Further informations you will find in the online help of STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V11. With best regards Cicero

NeLz0n Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	First of all I really appreciate your answer. But the problem is a bit different. We have a CPU 319 and an ET200S (im151-3). We made a connection in simatic manager (via PROFINET, using SFB 52) it's worked. Than we try to make the same program in TIA portal, using the same parameters, and it's say : error-wrong index. Why? NeLz0n Posts: 18 Rating: (1)	First of all, we made a mistake (: We thought the Index parameter was wrong, than we realized our problem is the ID paramater. In the s7-300 case the ID parameter is the logical address of the cards or the diagnostic number. In the s7-1200 case ( TIA portal) the index parameter is the HW identifier that automatically generetad by the TIA portal. (In our case ET200s output(2DO HF) module was 292.) Every identifier has a symbolic name, just type the "card name" to the ID parameter.
