OUTPUT 4DO, DC24V/0.5A NON FLOAT >>6ES5441-83A11 441-8 DIG. INPUT 8DI, DC24V/0.5A FLOAT in S7 hardware.

jklm Posts: 1742 Rating: (309)	Hello, There is something wrong with the second order number in your question. 441 cards are outputs, no inputs. Floating or not has to do with galavnic separation (optocoupler for instance)between the internal PLC powering and the load voltage of the in/out channelsand and/or between individual channels. See the schematic representation in the manual of the S5-95U, chapter 15 (http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1091648)

exponent Posts: 29 Rating: (0)	ow sorry sir it should be 6ES5431-8MA11. so i could say/conclude that an floating i/o uses opto and non floationg maybe uses transistor. meaning floating and non floating define the connnection and isolation uses in input and output of the certain hardware. thanks it helps a lot.
