S7 1200 UPLOAD PROBLEM

Am using tia portal( professional v 11 sp2 update 4, hardware 1214, firmware 2.1.2). 1.I have configured cpu clock, memory retentive for 24 bytes and developed program and downloaded. 2.But while uploading, cpu clock property,retentive option etc are not get uploded. 3. For uploding, am creating new project with un specified cpu, then detect hardware option using. Is it correct or any other way to overcome this problem?? regards

0_Einstein Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 1/15/2026 Posts: 16371 Rating: (2522)	Please submit your download problem (to plc) to Siemens Tech Support via the Support Request.If the upload (from plc) does not get all settings, unfortunately, that seems to be what Siemens considers normal. If enough people complain that is abnormal, perhaps it will change in future firmware releases.

Darius Platinum Member Joined: 9/28/2005 Last visit: 12/9/2025 Posts: 2957 Rating: (243)	Hi, Read chapter 6.8.1 of SIMATIC S7 S7-1200 Programmable controller manual and you will see that only program blocks, technology blocks and tags will be uploaded. HW configuration is not uploaded for S7-1200 CPU.
