Milos Petrovic Posts: 146 Rating: (7)	Dear coleagues, I have a problem in connecting WinCC Flexible project to S7-200 PLC over Ethernet. S7-200 has Ethernet card installed (CP 243-1). I followed all instructions regarding communication settings in MicroWin and Flexible and communication is working from my laptop computer. The problem is when I transfer project to customer computer, instead of variables I only see ########. On alarm screen I enabled system alarms but on customer computer it never says that connection couldn't be established. On my computer there is a notification that connection is established. My computer, customer computer and PLC are on the same network. Customer: 10.125.170.130, PLC 10.125.170.131, My computer 10.255.255.246 (assigned by DNS), mask 255.255.255.0. Ping command from customer PC to PLC works perfectly. Recently I figured out that on customer computer WinCC Flexible 2008 SP1 is installed and I developed application in WinCC Flexible 2008 SP2. Can that be a problem? I am not able to install SP2 on customer computer because there is a Flexible application already running and I am affraid that it will stop working if I install SP2 (my application should replace existing one but not now, next week probably and machine should be working until then). Existing application is communicating with S7-200 PLC over OPC (installed on the same customer computer) but I don't know why when there is a driver for S7-200 in Flexible... I want to make it simple. Can something else make a problem in communication between Flexible and PLC (antivirus, firewall, some administration rights, etc...)? Thanks for Your time! Best regards!

How do you configure communication between WinCC flexible Runtime or a Windows-based operator panel and an S7-200 (CP 243-1) via Ethernet? Which HMI components can you connect with S7-200 CPU and what should you watch out for when doing so? Tweety

I followed instructions you gave to me when I was configuring Flexible project and everything works perfectly from my computer and it doesn't work from customer computer. Is maybe a problem difference between WinCC Flexible SP1 and SP2? Or some PC network settings?
