Hi guys. Im just starting to explore the possibilities with OPC. I've decided to start off by using the WinCC Flexible built in OPC that can be enabled on the multi panels. As of right now i've managed to connect to my OPC-server by running a PLC-simulator and Flexible RT on my computer. I've used the XML Manager as well. I started by using THIS tutorial. As i said ive been able to connect the excel client to the server, however i cant read my variables, no fault, alarm or anything like that, just no values are showing. I have attached a printscreen of what it looks like. Since i can only attach one file ill post the wincc setup in post two. Thanks in advance if anyone can help me. /Johan |

Hello, You can not simulate this topic on a PC. You need a panel for this. What options are there in WinCC flexible for using a Multi Panel or Mobile Panel as an OPC server? link for PC: Which settings are required in Windows XP SP2 and WinCC flexible for server-client communication via OPC-DCOM? Do you want display tags of your panel in Excel? see the following link: How can you access tags of an operator panel via an Excel application? Tweety |
