new to S5

qayyum faiz Experienced Member Joined: 7/30/2012 Last visit: 1/16/2025 Posts: 127 Rating: (0)	Dear All i have an S5 card having following MLFB:6ES5470-4UA12 it is an anaolog output card. it is already installed in a machine previously but dur to some unfortunate reasons the previously installed card has malfucntioned and i have to replcae that card with a newer one. since i have not previous experience of working with S5 systems i need to know that should i just simply plug out the previous card and insert the newer card just like hardware replacement or are there any settings that are to be done on software?? because all i can see on the module are the connectors along with 6 DIP switches and nothing else.. is this card a simple plug and play type?? will it work if i configure it hardwarely just the way the previous is installed... please help me out on this one waiting for your replies...
