OPC Communication between Siemens OPENPCS7 Server and ION Enterprise OPC Server of SCHNEIDER

We wanted to connect ION Enterprise OPC Server to our OPENPCS7 sever to get the data from Schneider power meters. What do we need to do to establish communication between the two OPC servers? Can we just connect the ION Enterprise Server to the Terminal bus which all our Operator Station (Siemens) are connected? How can we get the data via OPC from SCHNEIDER Power meters (using ION Enterprise Server) and use these data for CFC programming? SCHNEIDER POWER METERS-------->ION ENTERPRISE------->OPENPCS7----->CFC PROGRAM Hope you can help me with this problem.. Thanks and best regards, lordgalen Attachment with_OPC.JPG (193 Downloads)

CBo Gold Member Joined: 4/5/2006 Last visit: 10/3/2025 Posts: 917 Rating: (63)	Hi lordgalen, here a link should help you to configure the OPC channel in WinCC What steps are required to start up a WinCC station as OPC server or as OPC client (OLE for Process Control)? after that need to select from the OPC server the tag you want make available into your Client System (OpenPCS). To transfer the OPC tags into PCS7 project need to copy the values by script (copy the OPC tag value into the "WinCC Tag managment" tag to transfer to CFC) Hope can help to start Regards
