It has no possibility to use STL, so ok in LAD it should be: --\|M0.0\|------------------------------(S DB1.DBX0.0) --\|M0.1\|------------------------------(S DB1.DBX0.1) Hope it is clear enough This might be a dumb question, but if the alarm bits are already in M0.0 and M0.1 could you not then use MW0 for alarm word and bit 0 and 1 for the alarm bits? I am trying to structure a large program right now and I would like to know if this would work. Thanks, Gabriel

I saw help topics you linked and used library with "Bool to word" and "Word to bool" blocks. With "Bool to word" block I group 16 digital inputs(for example I0.0 to I1.7) in word, but memory word (for example MW20) instead of your DB....addresses ( I did not understand this very well ) . In wincc flexible it seems all works fine, I succeded to alarm calling appropriate trigger bit from word MW20... Question: Is this regular option for alarming? May I continue use this way of alarming? Can this cause some problems in monitoring later? If I understand all this with memory addresses, I only change values of memory bit from 0 to 1 and vicer versa, nothing else. Thanks in advance! Zare
