SIEMENS840D - " TOO MANY SUB PROGRAMS IN NC MEMORY"

JAYA KUMAR P Posts: 3 Rating: (0)	Hi.. I am using SIEMENS840D in horizontal boring machines. While loading programs to NC memory i can only load 10 sub programs then i got a alarm " TOO MANY SUB PROGRAMS IN NC MEMORY" This problem occurs only in 2 machines rest 12 machines are ok. Ekalavya Posts: 2964 Rating: (485)	Hello, Memory in the NC is full thats why you get this error... Do you have your 840D machine equipped with PCU50 ??? if it is try unload the programs which your not using in to the harddisk and check.. Error will dissappear. Regards, Prakash

If you have a PCU20 you need to increasethe parameter MD18320. Attention: after you change this parameter you need to create a complete NC backup immediately. The data are lost if this machine data is altered. After the next NCK reset you need to load this backup. You can increase the settable frames (G54, 55, ...) with MD28080. The data arelost if this machine data is altered too. Regards.
