Slow response time on PCS 7 V7.1 SP3 OS Clients

Issue: After 1-2 weeks, two of four OS Clients need to be restarted, because the response time of the clients gets very slow. Resolution: For this particular issue, PdlRt.exe had a problem with the Page Faults and memory growing. There were so many page faults, that the counter had wrapped around to a negative number, and the memory had grown by around 10 times normal. There have been some fixes in regards to memory usage in Update 7 for WinCC V7.0 SP2. PCS 7 V7.1 SP3 contains WinCC V7.0 SP2 Upd4. To resolve this issue install Update 7 for WinCC V7.0 SP2, or upgrade toPCS 7 V7.1 SP4, whichincludes WinCC V7.0 SP2 Upd8. |

Actually, the problem was resolved by installingUpdate 7 for WinCC V7.0 SP2, which corrected some memory issues with the WinCC software.
