S7 1200 motion control homing?

But while homing is done my motor is travelling around inductive sensor then homing is done. I want that when sensor senses the inductive metarial in first meeting so homing should be done. How can i achieve that homing situation?i dont what that my inductive metarial travels around referans point swtich.

the_passerby Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	i will try to explain asdetailed explanation. 1- I have a stepper motor and i mounted a sheet metal to shaft of the stepper motor. I have located inductive sensor under the sheet metal. While stepper motor is rotating, sheet metal is passing through the inductive sensor. 2- I want make homed to stepper motor. When sheet metal meets with inductive sensor so home position must be completed. But I cant achieve it. Stepper motor passing inductive sensor then coming back and passing inductive sensor again then home operation is done. When sheet metal meets with inductive sensor so home must be done or after 2 - 3 - 5 mm offset.

It can be a tricky for a first time user to make use of them - - the software interface being the challange (at first). I make the suggestion to give the PDF documents a read: (google it) "s71200_motion_control_function_manual_en-US_en-US.pdf" "s71200_easy_book_en-US_en-US.pdf" (scan through as general reference) This should give you a good idea what should happen. Note the homing routine. There is a wizzard that you fill in to specify how the system and homing work. In a recent project I could not rely on the standard active homing. Your description sound very much like my situation. In that case you program relative movements and utilise indirect (passive) homing. Give the docs a read and (please) come back with specific questions for my buddies here to answer. (Many here avoid plundging into a thread if the questions are not zoomed into specific problem in coding.) Good luck. w
