IM151-3 PN MMC requirement

Shruti P Posts: 42 Rating: (0)	Dear Sir, I am using IM 151-3 PN with 314-C2 PN/DP . SO I have put MMC in 314C2 PN/DP. There is MMC slot on IM-151-3 PN also. I have read in manual that MMC is use for firmware update /& for storing the device name. My question is I have not put any MMC in IM 151-3 & my system is running ok without MMC in it. Even after power cycle I have not lost any device name.. SO is there any problem if I don't put MMC in IM 151-3 ? Regards, Shruti

But now a days it is not necessary to use MMC.
