Error open image/ back up HMI file

Chehombing Posts: 98 Rating: (4)	I had image back up only from touch panel TP117B Color PN/DP. Last time my Wincc software version SP1, I try update to SP2 but my backup data (PDATA.FWX fileWinCC flexible RT document) can't open it any more. What should i do for that file can open that version. Cheers.

What should i do for that file can open that version. Cheers. Hello, You can not open backup file for editing or modifications. All what you can do with backup files is to restore it again on a panel with the same part number. Thus because it is not the complete project file. It is only the compiled file downloaded to the panel. Hope this helps.

I believe that the following thread will help you. .fwx file to .hmi file Hope this helps.

I don't have the source program. that one from back up file. Cheers Thus because the source file is not stored on panel's MMC. It's just the image file. And the image file can not be opened using WinCC flexible for further editing purposes. You can just restor it using the MMC itself or Prosave. Hope this helps.

Hello, To monitor or Simulate the project on a PC, you need the configuration software integrated with your STEP7 software. With image file it won't be possible.
