We have a problem with double spindle machine. Problem is two or three times in a day alarm occurs on the screen which numbers given below. For find reason of the problem changed spindle drivers between 1 and 2, no solved, hereupon crossed power cable of spindel motors. Unfortunately problems still occurs. Anybody have any suggestion?

By the way control is Siemens 840D

21612 VDI Signal "Servo Enable" reset during motion.

25201 Drive Fault

300606 Flux controller at limit

/607 Current controller at limit

/608 Speed controller at limit

700251 Main spindel not in position

Hi Agron,

Is your spindle running (or accelarating to) its max rpm and and all your axes moving at rapid feedrate (G0) at the same time ? It could be a problem of insufficient power of your main power supply (Simodrive 611D in case of 840D).

If you can reproduce this problem make a test with just a few % less rpm.

Thanks for your reply. Spindel is running [approx. 8000 rpm] in a program execution. And, yes all axes moving at (G01). Have checked power line via =Fluke Multimeter= about five hours, power seems o.k. On the other hand there are some machines more in the plant and works without any problem.

Looks like there could be problem in your power module...
Check your Power Module (LT module) IGBTS link attached
/tf/WW/en/Posts/45570#top
Check your Motor cable continuity and the motor winding
Check too much of LOAD is there in the spindle
Replace the Power module (LT Module) and check

Thanks for interest and quick reply. As I said yesterday machine equipped with double spindel and have changed LT modules between 1. and 2. same alarms occurs. Also checked the motor, and power cables of motor, all seems o.k. Is problem coming from encoder or encoder cable of the spindel motor?. what do you think about that?
