f038 over speed Fault.

sparten Posts: 205 Rating: (11)	Respected Expert, i am getting F038 fault in my simoreg DC master 6RA70 drive . i have already checked Encoder cable, Encoder,Motor,Drive parameters.... For testing purpose same Motor Encoder assembly i have checked with another spare Drive (Rating of both drive is same) and system is working ok..... In this spare drive i have downloaded same program that is in running drive...so i dont think this parameters problem also..... i am not able short out problem at which section MOTOR??ENCODER??ENCODER CABLE??DRIVE PARAMETERS???

Vithani Platinum Member Joined: 7/8/2009 Last visit: 6/7/2025 Posts: 1977 Rating: (479)	Just try factory set, then commission from beginning - Don't download parameter first, perform optimisation (P051) and after finishing commissioning, just run motor alone with this basic parameters This way, you can trace whether its your parameter problem or something else
	I dont Like people driving Fast, thats the reason I overtake them ;)

If spare CUD1 is OK, then try the defective CUD1 in spare also to double check. (I pressume that you used shielded cable for the encoder away from power cableswith proper grounding of shield on drive side). Regards, Vijay

PISCEAN 2010 Posts: 8092 Rating: (884)	Hello, May be encoder connections at terminals loose. As you said you replaced the drive, during this it might have got tightened. Just a thought. Many times such minor checks are negelcted or overlooked.
