PLC programmation download?

Luiz Bitencourt Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Hi everybody! Is it possible todownloadthe ladder program from a PLC to the computer, and save it on a projet? We lost an old project and now we need to repair a machine that uses a S7-1200 PLC. We can read the PLC's programmation but I don't know how to save it on the computer to "watch" the machine. I think there is not a copy protection. Any way to confirm it? Anyone can help me?

Hello, yes, you can read the BACKUP from PLC. if you have lost the original Backup then you can upload Program Backup from PLC to to your Computer. I hope you have necessary software available to upload the program from PLC. Best of Luck.

Now, I just need to let the hardware configuration equal on my offline project. I've set the modules correctly, but I think the configuration of the analog inputs is wrong (see the attached picture). What is showing up in the diagnostic buffer in the online/diagnostic section in project tree (second option below _PLC_1)? If it is simple a matter of having the wire break or short circuit detection enabled and things are wired that would cause them to show a fault, you can safely ignore them. If it is a matter of selecting the proper analog I/O style, like 0-20mA versus +/-10, you should be able to go from the field connected devices per channel group and configure the analog module to match. Congrats on getting online!

That indication is for something different from online. May be you have to check the wiring and MLFB number. Otherwise you can see your device left side they have MLFB number. from that you can develope your HW and upload the program
