hi,we want to change the process value archie taglogging acquisition time to 5 seconds.how can we do that?we tried to change it during compile but the changes are not reflecting on the tag logging.please help.

Hello,

As you want user defind timer , you have to create it at your own under timers option of Tag Logging.


By Default, you will not get this timer value.

The "Tag Logging" editor will offer you different standard times. You are not permitted to change these times. If the standard times do not suffice, configure new times. When configuring the times, you will define a time basis and a time factor. The product of the time basis and time factor determines the time distance between two archivings. So, if you set 1 second as a time basis and 5 seconds as a time factor, the process values are archived every 5 seconds.

thank you for all the replies,in our case we have more than 4000 tags on our server,its a merge server,so both apacs and pcs7 tags.some times the client machines are really slow,by slow i mean it takes more than 10 seconds to update the faceplates. if we change the 1 second cyclic process value archiving to 5 second we could reduce the network load. we do have the 5 second time in tag editor,but my question is do we have to change the time for each tag one by one.what we tried to do is changing the acquisition time in OS compile window,but that didnt work.so i guess we will have to go to each tag in the tag editor and change the time one by one. correct me if am wrog.
