You can generate it into your PLC instead of taking it from weighing system. I hope you are getting the mA corrosponding to the TPH from the weighing system, and "one batch finish" feedback. Implement a totalizer in the programming, and transfer the total of one batch to the particular address. Reg, Ashish Hello Ashish, The Input is a Totailzer Pulse. On Every pulse it will sense that some kg weigh has passed through the weighing scale. That means on each pulse i have to add some weight (Totalizer). it does not have 4-20 mA Signal.

@shish Posts: 291 Rating: (6)	Dear Amit, If the frequency is high and you can not use a relay to get potential free contact. you may try to change the output pulse to one pulse per tonn from one pulse per kg which will reduce the frequency.

You mus either get a new encoder which outputs 24V DC (an I think also 5V DC encoders are supported in FM350), or you can use a solid state relay with power of 12V DC and then connect the 24V DC to the output of the relay then to the High Speed Counter module. The DI modules in siemens sense a "1" signal when the voltage input is >18V DC, then using this signal with Siemens modules will not succeed.

Since , Such module does not exists , i have to look for some alternate solution. Hello, Alternative Solution 1 You can think of opto-coupler with 12VDC input, 24VDC outputs. Then connect the opto-coupler output to HSC or CPU31xC (HSC) IOs. Alternative Solution 2 Siemens have FM-350-1 which can work on 5VDC encoders (HSC). You can use the above solution but with outputs 5VDC. Advantage here, that no extra power supply will be added to this solution. Alternative Solution 3 Consult the weighing System provider, if he have an integrator which can read these signals (+12VDC) and re-transmit it again to PLC in (24VDC). Hope this helps.

Ste39 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hello Navnag, Only a clarification,Amit_86 spoke of high frequency, this maximum is 500 HZ, I think but do not know because he has not yet explained what frequency but I think it is higher. Maybe this is better Data Sheet - Alstronthis is 100 KHz.
