Problem with installing step 7 v11 (TIA 11)

wolka Bronze Member Joined: 3/26/2009 Last visit: 12/22/2025 Posts: 147 Rating: (0)	I have problem with installing step7 v11 professional to Windows7 32bit professional PC. License keys already installed on the PC. At the end of the installation appears "SP1 An Error occured during setup" & "License transfer or license was sucessful". If I try to configurate "hardware" appears "The application has encountered a probleme and needs to close". The same appears when I try doing programm. PS On this PC are also installed WinCC 7.0 Sp2 and Step 7 v5.5 best regards

PS On this PC are also installed WinCC 7.0 Sp2 and Step 7 v5.5 best regards The latest available version / service pack / update for V11 is: V11 SP2 Update 5 The error log may help you determine what is happening with the SP1 installation. You might be able to simply install SP2 then apply update 5 and correct the SP1 install issue.

Just the information 'an error occured' is not very useful for me to provide any help on this. Please add the SIA* logfile (or better the whole textfiles) from %autinstlog% folder (just enter in Windows Explorer).

Both logs are showing 'access denied' in several of the failed message reasons. Yes, I use administrator account System: Windows 7 Professional SP1, CPU P6100 2GHz, RAM 4GB, 32bit PS I checked in the compability list the Step 7 V11 SP2 is compatible with the Win 7 SP1 OS
