How comes the "Diagnostics" folder under the project in plant view?

T41 Posts: 88 Rating: (1)	Hi all, I found there was a "Diagnostics" folderunder a project in Plant View, It provided disgnostics for the hardwares, like AI/AO modules. Buthow to insertsuch folder for a new project? When I right clicked the project in Plant View, under "Inser New Object", there was no choice for "Diagnostics". Any comments? Thanks! T41

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi T41, You get this when you configure Asset Management. You need Asset Engineering license on ES and Asset Runtime license on Maintenance Station (MS). MS is normall the ES but can be a separate server also. You get the folder after you check Derive Diagnostic from PH in Settings and then Create/Update Diagnostic Screens, bothmenu itemsin Plant View/Plant Hierarchy. Regards

T41 Posts: 88 Rating: (1)	Thank you, Phantom75. Could youprovide the link of the related document(manual) for me? Follow your instruction, I got the diagnostic folder and the subfolders. I had a IM153-2 with 1AI(6ES7 331-7KF01-0AB0), 1AO(6ES7 332-5HB01-0AB0), 1DI, AND 1DO. I can see the graphic for IM153-2 but there is no AI and AO modules. I saw the graphics for Hart AI and Hart AO modules for other projects. The AI/AO modules I used are not Hart ones. Is it the reason they are not available? T41

Phantom75 Posts: 2661 Rating: (279)	Hi T41, See chapter 9 in the following manual: SIMATIC Process Control System PCS 7 Compendium Part A - Configuration Guidelines For HART AI's and AO's you should use CH_U_AI and CH_U_AO universal channel drivers. Regards
