Step7 and HMi problem

gogycro Posts: 61 Rating: (0)	Hello everyone, I need help with preparing Step7 program so it can be worked with HMI panel. This is my fist time to work with HMI so I have some unknown terms. In attachment is 2 line network, so I can explain and understood it easily. Now my questions are: 1. I have digital inputs for START/STOP that are physical devices that already exist, how can I store their status, in DB or in some other way ? When I try to add a tag for START/STOP I can't write I1.0, only IW1. (I need their status so I can show on HMI is motor in start or stop) 2. When I want to start Motor 1 or Motor 2 with HMI panel logicaly I can't affect on push buttons, so I need to add new contact in network too start motors from HMI? In every manual I see that tags are writen like DB1 DBW 2, so do I need to add contact stored in DB and connect with same tag in WinCC or ? Best regards, Goran Attachment S7hmi.jpg (215 Downloads)

But the other elements are possible too (memory bits, inputs or outputs) - your decision Regards

So you must use contacts in paralel/series in your logic. Those bits can b M-bits, DB-bits., if you have a lot of tags it's good thing to use a DB for the HMI. Regards, Marcjan
