Chandra Tiwari Posts: 247 Rating: (2)	Hello experts, i have ET 200M (6ES7195-7HB00-0XA0) i wanted to know that how many IO cards i can use in 1 ET 200M. For my project i have 6 AI, 6 DI, 2 DO and 3 AI cards how many ET 200M required for my case. thanks in advance.

Hello, First, The mentioned part number "6ES7195-7HB00-0XA0" is not an interface module. It is a bus unit. For ET200M, There is an interface moddule IM153-1 "6ES7153-1AA03-0XB0" which can accomodate maximum 8 modules in its rack and also IM153-2 "6ES7153-2BA02-0XB0"which can accomodate up to 12 modules in its rack. The above are not all IM for ET200M family, you have first to select your communication, Profinet or Profibus. and then select the most suitable IM for your application. Hope this helps.

THE INTEGR.OF TWO 40 MM WIDE I/O SUBMODULES FOR INSERT/REMOVE" seems if i have total no. of IO modules 17 then i have to purchase 17/2=8.5 (9 modules) For my project i have 6 AI, 6 DI, 2 DO and 3 AI cards how many ET 200M required for my case. please advice.

Hello RaviS, If all these modules are 40 mm wide, then you will need 9 bus units. Some modules like Fail Safe DI24 is 80 mm wide, so this bus unit will not suitable for you. In any case, for your application, check if the width of all mdules is 40 mm and if yes, you will need 9 Bus units "6ES7195-7HB00-0XA0". Another way, if you already configured your system in HW configuration, it will tell you the part numbers of the needed Bus unit. Please check the attached picture. Hope this helps.
