Exchange variables between 2 CPUs

jinga Posts: 26 Rating: (2)	Hi! I'm a newbie with Siemens PLC and TIA Portal. I'm creating a project with 2 CPUs (1215C DC/DC/RLY and 1214C DC/DC/RLY). In TIA Portal I created a S7 connection between them, but I have a problem. I need to use a variable (type of value Int) of a FB in 1214C in a block in 1215C. I've tried with FB PUT and GET but I don't kow how to set ADDR and SD parameters... Is there another way I can do that? Thank you in advance. Valeria

For example, I need to use the variable %IW96 of the program on CPU2 in the program of CPU1...Do I have to insert that variable in the DB created with the block get? Or, better, is there a way to specify an address like P#..for each variable?

Or, better, is there a way to specify an address like P#..for each variable? If you use get/put, look at the instruction helpto see how to define the memory area (DB / Input / Output / Memory). Highlight (click on)the get or put block in your logic and press the F1 key.
