Datalog error MP370 - Windows Server2008

dendhondt Posts: 156 Rating: (7)	Hi, We have a MP370 with +30 datalogs, these are saved on a server as *.Csv files earlier we saved them on a server with Windows server2003 this worked fine Now we are changing to a new server, with windows server 2008 I only changed the path where de logs need to be located in the WinccFlex Software but the logging isn't posibbe i got error 53 can't connect to network path There is a user and password for the panel , it has all rights to the location path On the MP370 in explorer i can go to the location of the old server but the location of the new server i cannot access?? they checked all rights of both server locations ant they are all the same We use WinccFlexible 2008 SP2 We found in a manual for WinccFlex2008SP3 the datalogs with MP370 are not possible on server with windows 7, so i think i would be possibe to a server with windows 2008 ? We ordered WinCC Flex2008 SP3 so we can test it. Someone experienced this problem before?

For this, you configure the "Primary DNS" with the computer's IP address in the operator panel's "Ethernet Settings", in the "Name Servers" tab. But i don't know it this is necessary We also have other panels that are working on the new server location, the only difference is the other one is a newer panel (MP277) with this panel where the logging is working , we didn't do this Primary DNS setting and it also works

dendhondt Posts: 156 Rating: (7)	Hi After some testing with other server locations and other user names we found problem lies with the user account for this panel the user accounts are mode one year ago on a windows server 2003 now we have a second server with windows server 2008 , there where some changes made on this user account to make a new location working, but since the changes the user has no acces to all the server locations Our IT department is searching for a solution but can't find something wrong???

dendhondt Posts: 156 Rating: (7)	the last thing we found out is that our users are created in windows server 2003, these users can log to the windows server2008 the problem starts when setting/rights are changed with the user in windows server2008 , once you change something with the user in windows server 2008 nothing works so creating a user in windows server 2008 doesn't work we have some old users that we now use for almost all our screens, until we found a solution

Here some info Field PG M2 with winXP SP3 Software: WinCC Flexible 2008 SP2 Panel: MP370 12" Touch Log location was created on a Win2003Server with active directory Log user was created in a Win2003Server with active directory Server changed from Win2003Server to Win2008Server In total we have 39 log points every 15 minutes each of them make a record Logging method : create segmental circular logs automatically number of log files for each log point = 9 Nr of data records per log 17280 Old users created on the windows server 2003 are working fine (until now) User changedor created on windows server 2008 don't work The logging worked until a few days ago when the screen was downloaded again and rebooted after this we always get the massage - 80028 Log initialization started and after some time - 80029 Log initialization ended. 39 log reports error - 80015 Can't find network path 53 The location just worked before we downloaded the project again and rebooted The user name and password does not give an error so this is ok when starting this project in the runtime simulator the logging just works fine ??? dendhondt Posts: 156 Rating: (7)	Problem solved IP adres was entered (before this worked) we changed this so it gets its IP adres with DHCP ( gets same ipadres) now the loggings work again
