Question about GSD file and FB creation

The idea is to control pump by profibus from SCADA. So I installed pumpsGSD file and I noticed functions that should be set by operator(setpoints, operating modes) are outputs. see attachment 1.jpg Here is that part of manual: see attachment 2.jpg Is it normal? I tried to create FB with instance DB. I will use this db for CFC creation. I don't know how I could show you my creation :D So my idea is that: Operator sets values->I link them in datablock->FB input gets those values-> transfers them to FB output-> FBoutput is linked with GSD files output Is my idea right? L DBx.DBB(x+4) T PQB 520[/code]withx is any number, depending which DB and wich byte you use In FBD use the MOVE-Block to copy:[code] -------- DBx.DBBx --\| MOVE \|--PQB 516 --------[/code] do the same same for the other bytes. But because of the consistency the absolute best solution isto use SFC14 and SFC15 to copy the data to/from the PROFIBUS

So to be able to put tags and transfer everything in SCADA I need CFC block. Am I right? In attachment is what i have written, sorry I don't know how to insert SFC14 and SFC15 blocks in project and how to manipulate them. By the way, I noticed that I can't connect REAL data type (Setpoint, ActSetpoint)with I/O. Should I change data type in DW and then connect? Thanks, KarolisL Attachment 3.jpg (173 Downloads)

In CFC press <STRG><K> to open the catalouge There you should find the SFCs too.

I didnt't understand "<STRG><K> ", but I called SFC in separate FB, so it appeared in CFC. In help I saw that Parameter LADDR has to be written in hex.If I try to read inputin CFC, for example 528, should I make "Interconnection to address.." IW528 or IW210,a because 210in hex=528 in dec? And what about data type REAL and its connecting with outputs?

This is only sample project made following getting started manuals so it contained some SFC, so I could add SFC14 and SFC15 direct in CFC window. I found some posts in forums where real type is changed in DW so I think it will work. The following task is to make visualisation of pump. I read wincc getting started manuals and noticed that screen change can be made by vb scripts. Is there any other options? Can anyone give a link to WinCC tutorials other than "getting started"?
