Replacing faulty CPU-414H in redundant system

emil13 Posts: 1 Rating: (0)	Good Day, Please help a newbie in replacing a faulty PLC 414-4H in Redundant system. The MASTER PLC is running OK and I have to replace the SLAVE one. Both PLCs have the same firmware. The MASTER PLC have e memory card with the project? Can i boot the new SLAVE PLC from the same memory card? Please give me detail instructions. Thank you in advance.

Hello, The procedure you want can be found in section"16.2.1 Failure and replacement of a CPU" of this manual: SIMATIC Fault-tolerant systems S7-400H If system was working in redundant mode with a Flash memory, just remove it from the faulty and insert it in the new coming CPU.The other point to check is the switch for rack number.
