First of all thanks for answeringFafner. Yes it's an old sw, I'm letting attached the manual I have about it.I'm afraid I can't specify more, I've never work with it before.

He Carlos, there are two Versions of HMI-Advanced available: -One for the PCU50 e.g.6FC5253-7BX10-6AG0(it runs only on a PCU50) -and a other one for a normal PC (or PG) e.g.: 6FC5253-7BX40-6AG3(for Service or testing) Both one you have to order from Siemens. Nice Regards Willi |

HI, No you cannot install HMI advanced for pcu on a pc. Nobody I know has managed to get it to work. Pee |

Hi Willi, Thanks for the info, I think I'll ask for the testing one. Btw, I've found a document about the installation (attached below) It says: You can choose one of three different installation methods: • Online with NCU link At least one network card must be installed in the PC for this purpose. In this mode, you can operate an 840D sl as if it were a PCU 50.3. • Local without link to an NCU. • Local without link to an NCU, but with a simulated NCK. The "Online" version must be selected. Both local modes have not been released for use. So just for some tests the better option seems to be the 3rd one, right? Just a PC, not linked to a NCU and simulating the kernel
