Its A & B signals are connected to DI124.0 & DI124.1 (default), have TIA v12, I use COUNT_300C (SFB47), have soft gate, used type of input: rotary single encoder. Everything works except directions. No matter how I connect the signals A and B and spin encoder - they are always counted up without change direction unless if I change count direction inverted. Tryed on 2 new encoders. Please help, thank You!

Aleksander EUTECH Experienced Member Joined: 1/30/2013 Last visit: 5/1/2025 Posts: 34 Rating: (1)	Hi Marcjan I did rotary encoder quadruple and now my counter pulses twice, eg before was 100 pulses/100ms, now 200pulses/100ms, direction do not change when I am spining in two directions.

That has now low priority for me but I want to know what is wrong. greetings!

It turned out that in the closet was mistakenly installed a two-level connector. It had two levels connected and the signals from another device overlapped with signals from the encoder. Therefore the reason for 3 encoder states (0log, intermediate (12.5 V) and 1log). In my defense I will add that I didnt build that cabinet. Used connectors are so similar to those installed incorrectly that a mistake could anyone make. After changing connectors the counter started counting correctly in two directions.
