Redundant CPU S7 400H

asd125 Posts: 11 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I am facing a problem with redundant CPU S7 400H, suddenly it goes to stop mode and all LEDs are continuously lit, I checked hardware diagnostic found that (the optical output of the transmitter is high or too high. maintenance required or demand of the synchronization module)synchronization module needs replace, so cloud you help me on this issue? Thank you in advance Asim Hello, The quick answer would be "Replace it with a new one".More information in page 301 of Fault-Tolerant system manual (Diagnostics of the synchronization module ) . Best regards, Asim Hello, In case of any interruption in synchronization, the standby CPU will go to STOP and LEDs(IFM1/IFM2) indicate the fault.This is a hardware issue and may come from synchronization fiber optic cables or synchronization modules.Faulty module can be found easily with some invistigations(Checking modules/ buffer of both CPUs) and for hardware in critical processes, urgent change of module is recommended.I don't think that a total download can solve this issue.I also suggest checking the faulty module on a test CPU because it may function for a short test period. Bring here more information(as text) from buffer of CPUs if this is not your case. I hope these comments help you Hamid Hosseini

Fault led, ext. fault will lit. CPU should not enter stop mode in this case and the master CPU should operate your system in solo mode. Actually you have a problem with all leds blinking. To solve it -if possible- you have to try support request. Siemens have an application called S7-Dump. They may send it to you to get info from your system. You then will send to support the log file and they will tell you exactly what to do. Hope this helps.
