S7 315 Plc to control another make Plc

CMon-cn Posts: 9 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using s7 315 Plc in my plant and almost I am using more than 100 DP instruments in single Profibus network topology, now I want to connect the remote Rockwell plc via same Profibus network to have control on the remote Rockwell plc, But this remote Rockwell plc is working as a master , so what can I do best with this structure Tanx in Advance Cmon

Ste39 Posts: 4620 Rating: (710)	Hi CMon-cn, and as he says Wizard if you use the DP/DP Coupler be careful that the input number of BYTE of the Master 1 are identical to the outputs of the Master 2 Example: Master 1 16 Byte IN ---> Master 2 16 Byte OUT Master 1 8 Byte OUT ->Master 2 8 Byte IN

IBN-Service Posts: 8946 Rating: (1000)	You may consider: DP/DP coupler is very fast and very easy to configure, no communication blocks necessary. CP is mostlyslower than DP/DP coupler and you have to call communication blocks. You can handle max. 244 byte only by usingDP - Master - Slave communication.
