Step 7 Pro V11.0 SP2 Installation DCOM Error

QUAD_Mark Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	I have been running Version 11 SP1 HF2 for some time now and went to install SP2 and recieved this error during the install, any ideas? *please see the uploaded jpeg* My operating system is WinXP SP3. Step 7 Professional V11.0 SP2-Setup "Windows system settings have been detected whitch are not compatible with setup execution. \Please contact the administrator to change DCOM settings under windows. \During the setup execution, the "Default Authentication Level" must not have the value "None". in additinon, the "Default impersonation Level" must not have the value "Anonymous". QUAD_Mark Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Solved my problem by using the instructions listed on this forum below, basicly DCOM was not running on my laptop...and could not be started... after re-installing MSDTC and registering the dll file "mtxoci.dll" then resetting the default properties for Distributed COMmy computer to Default Authenication = Connect and the Impersonation Level = Identify Reboot... and now the service is running and the installer is now installing SP2 here is the link to the information that solved it for me. My issue was resolved by setting the authorization level as seen in the JPG of the link given. -- it was easy enough to do (what a relief!) I can not declare however why this came up. I have been upgrading since TIA V11 SP0 without issues. Thank you. w
