s7-300 FB's and FC's

Stace Posts: 7 Rating: (0)	Can anyone tell me where I can finda list with all of the available FC's And FB's with descriptions on how to use them. I am interested in using FB125 DETAIL_DP_DIAG but I cannot find info and I would like a good refernce on what funtions are available for Step7 5.4 with s7-300 CPU'sand how to use them

Reasons for this are numerous, but basically it is because they are evolving all the time. Siemens produces different FBs and FCs as needed, as application examples, communication drivers, downloadable projects... Functions that are available as standart part of Step 7 are all described in the online help of Step 7. Others are described (albeit briefly) in the System and Standard Functions manual. More help is available here on the forum, either through the Search box at the right on this page, or in the Product Support link at the top of the page. For example, had you looked for info on FB 125 ("DP_DIA") on the forum, you would have found many entries, such as this one: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/387257 It will tell you that FB 125 is now replaced by FB 126, for diagnostics of Profibus-DP and Profinet nodes, and will povide a link to the download of FB 126. See what I mean by continuously evolving functions? Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier

I agree that, these will grow as needs and applications expands. But still a list with brief description will help a novice to practice or understand these. During my search I found following link http://www.plcdev.com/s7_library_functions This link have list in HTML and as well as in Excel spreadsheet format to search appropriate functionseasily. My reply to you may not worth to you now, but I think this will be help full to new commers. Thanks
