Gabriel de Oliveira Silver Member Joined: 2/16/2011 Last visit: 4/28/2025 Posts: 229 Rating: (28)	Hello; If you don't want to loose resolution, you will need o converter ( 0 - 10v to 0 - 20 mA) and adjust the SPAM and OFFSET of the converter to you 0v = 0 mA and 5V = almost 20 mA. Marko Bursic Posts: 1410 Rating: (154)	So, if I uderstood you will buy an industrial plc for quite money and then desoder some smd resistors which you will never get answaer which one are the rigt one and then if it plc will zap you will throw it away and buy another one. I guess, beter idea is to add an op-amp to your cicuit with gain of 2. P.S.: Where you will get the 5V power supply for your AD 22100?

Marko – I really don’t want to open brand new CPU, but … Another solution it would be to find another temperature sensor that is acceptably priced and works with higher supply voltage so it can output 0-10V – does anybody knows of one? Regards, Ajo Call me perplexed and confused. You want to device that goes between your analog signal and the plc that will double the resolution of the PLC input signal. To me, if you need that kind of resolution on a fairly imprecisetemperature input, you really should be solving the problem by mating the signals despite the cost. Seriously, the device is at its best +/- 2% accurate, with +/- 1% linearity over a range of -50 to 150C. Making the value into the PLC not have full range loses one bit of resolution, which in this caseisn't that big a deal. I suppose I would understand if your device was +/-0.1% accurate and you were going to actually control with the inputuncalibrated.
